Hi, I’m Michael Mattina! I’m a digital professional based in Rochester, NY, helping small businesses and individuals improve their online presence through affordable, personalized solutions. With experience in website management, SEO, SEM, and digital strategy, I focus on making technology simple, effective, and easy to use — without the agency overhead.
Over Ten Years of Digital Experience:
Digital Experience Manager at the YMCA of Greater Rochester
At the Y, I oversaw the organization’s digital presence, including the website, mobile app, SEO/SEM initiatives, and Google, Apple, and Bing listings. In this role, I created new web pages, added new web events, and added new app events, strengthening member engagement. Partnering with the web development firm Five Jars, I helped deliver key website enhancements that improved usability and performance. I also developed and presented a training session to help seniors navigate the website more easily. The SEO and SEM strategies I initiated resulted in measurable increases in Google ad clicks, website views, traffic acquisition, and overall engagement.
Senior SEO Specialist at Outerbox
At Outerbox, I optimized a variety of eCommerce websites and collaborated with strategists in order to increase keyword rankings and organic traffic. I created and added title tags, meta descriptions, headings, content, schema data, image alt tags, internal links, and external links to the websites. I also optimized YouTube videos and did monthly maintenance checks using Screaming Frog, GWT, and PageSpeed Insights. At the end of the month, I created client reports using GA and GDS.
SEO Strategist at LocalEdge, a Hearst Company
At LocalEdge, I optimized websites for a variety of local businesses using best practices to improve rankings. I edited title tags, meta descriptions, headings, and content. Some of the tools I used included Google Analytics, Google Webmaster Tools, and content management systems like WordPress.
